New Year’s Eve restaurant marketing in the UAE: how to fill every table

The short answer: restaurants fill New Year’s Eve by deciding a small number of clear packages early, showing them in strong photography and video, and promoting them on Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp and Google from 4 December, once National Day has passed, with an easy way to book. Sell more than the dinner: a New Year’s Day brunch, party platters for delivery and celebration cakes. In 2026 New Year’s Eve falls on a Thursday and New Year’s Day on the Friday.

Key points

  • New Year’s Eve 2026 is a Thursday, and 1 January is a UAE public holiday.
  • Offer two or three clear packages rather than many confusing ones.
  • Shoot food, drinks and the venue by early December.
  • Launch publicly from 4 December, after Commemoration Day and National Day.
  • Only promote views or fireworks that guests can genuinely see.

1. Build the packages first

Guests compare venues by what they get for the night. Two or three clearly different packages are easier to understand and easier to promote than a long list. A common structure is a set menu, the same menu with a better table or seating time, and a group package. Write down exactly what each includes, so every post, message and menu says the same thing.

A package structure that works

PackageWhat it includesWho it is for
Early seatingSet menu, earlier sitting, finish before midnightFamilies and guests heading home
Celebration seatingSet menu, the countdown, a toast or mocktail at midnightCouples and friends
Premium tableThe same menu with the best tables or a confirmed viewGuests who want the view
Group tableA sharing menu for a set number of guestsFriends, families and teams

2. Design the New Year set menu

A New Year menu should feel special but stay easy to read. Lead with the courses, show what changes between packages side by side, and keep descriptions short. Give the dessert and the signature drink a moment of their own, because they are the photos people share. Our page on restaurant menu design in Dubai covers layout and hierarchy.

3. Shoot the food, drinks and venue

New Year is sold on atmosphere as much as food. In one session, photograph the set menu, the dessert and signature drinks, the room dressed for the night, and the best table or view if you are selling it. Film short vertical clips of drinks being made, the table being set and the room filling up. Our guide to cocktail and mocktail photography covers the drinks side.

4. Plan the social media countdown

WhenWhat to post
NovemberShoot; offer group tables to regulars by WhatsApp and email
30 November to 3 DecemberNo New Year promotion: Commemoration Day and National Day
4 to 10 DecemberAnnouncement reel and package carousel
11 to 17 DecemberMenu and drinks photos, early-bird reminder
18 to 24 DecemberBehind the scenes, the room, the view if real, group package
Christmas to 30 DecemberCountdown stories, last tables, New Year’s Day brunch
31 DecemberLive stories through the night
1 JanuaryThank-you reel and brunch reminder

Keep Christmas and New Year content separate in your feed until Christmas has passed, so neither offer gets lost.

The New Year’s Eve shot list

  • The set menu: every course, clean and consistent.
  • Signature drinks and mocktails: the pour, the garnish, the toast.
  • The room at night: lit as guests will see it.
  • The view, if real: photographed from the tables you are selling.
  • Party platters: square crops for the delivery apps.
  • People: your team and guests celebrating, with permission.

5. Promotions that fill the night without discounting it

  • Early-bird packages for bookings made before a set date, which bring in commitment early.
  • Group tables with a clear minimum number of guests.
  • An early family seating for guests who want to be home before midnight.
  • A New Year’s Day brunch, which sells a second occasion from the same campaign.
  • Party platters and bundles on the delivery apps for people celebrating at home.
  • Celebration cakes for pre-order from bakeries and dessert shops.

Caption ideas you can adapt

  • "New Year’s Eve at ours: three packages, one unforgettable night. See them all in the carousel and book on WhatsApp."
  • "Early-bird tables close on 15 December."
  • "Bringing the whole family? Our early seating finishes before midnight."
  • "Start 2027 slowly: New Year’s Day brunch, 1 January."

6. Make booking easy from social media

Most enquiries will come through Instagram messages and WhatsApp. Put a WhatsApp link in your bio and stories, prepare short replies that explain each package, and state clearly in your posts how bookings and any deposit work, so guests are not surprised later.

7. Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah

  • Dubai. Fireworks views are a big draw, so only promote views that guests can genuinely see from the seats you are selling, and photograph the actual view. Roads around the main fireworks areas can be busy or closed on the night, so tell guests to plan their arrival early.
  • Abu Dhabi. The same package and content approach applies; lead with the menu, the room and family options.
  • Sharjah. Alcohol is not licensed in the emirate, so drinks content should focus on mocktails, coffee and desserts, and imagery should be family-friendly.

If you serve alcohol elsewhere, check what your licence and each platform allow before promoting it. Many venues lead with food, desserts and mocktails in their public content.

8. Measure the campaign

Track bookings by package and by the channel they came through, delivery orders for New Year platters, brunch bookings and average spend per table, and compare with a similar period. Note which posts drove messages and bookings, not just likes, so next year’s plan starts from evidence.

Frequently asked questions

When should restaurants start promoting New Year’s Eve?

Decide the packages and set menu in November, shoot the food, drinks and venue by early December, and start posting in the first week of December. Many groups book before Christmas, so the main push should not wait for the final week.

What New Year’s Eve packages work best?

A small number of clearly different options, for example a set menu, a set menu with a better table or a later seating, and a group package. Guests should be able to see what each includes at a glance.

How do you sell New Year’s Eve on Instagram and TikTok?

Show the set menu and drinks in strong photographs, reveal the packages in a carousel, post a reel of the room and the atmosphere, count down with stories, and give one simple way to book, such as a WhatsApp link.

Should restaurants promote fireworks views?

Only for seats that genuinely have the view. If views vary by table, say so clearly and photograph the actual view from those seats, so guests know what they are booking.

What can a restaurant sell besides the New Year’s Eve dinner?

A New Year’s Day brunch, sharing platters and party bundles for delivery, celebration cakes for pre-order, and an early seating for families who want to be home before midnight.

Do the same plans work in Sharjah?

The approach is the same, but alcohol is not licensed in Sharjah, so drinks content should focus on mocktails, coffee and desserts, and imagery should be family-friendly.
